Replaces OEM 8990/A style ball bearing. This bearing will fit will fit all models as front & rear outer cam bearings. Note: The MoCo has redesigned the Twin Cam rear outer cam bearing from ball to a roller bearing style in 2001. This was done to help prevent failing ball bearings on, specifically, rear (=driveside) cams that are heavier loaded. This 01-up roller style bearing is a 3-piece design that is more heavy duty than the roller bearing. No other parts changed during the bearing changes. The early 99-00 style ball bearings will still fit all 99-06 models front & rear. Using front & rear ball bearings present no issues on cam driven gears.

S&S, PINION GEAR 54-77. BLUE
Note: All S&S pinion shaft gears are designed to be used with a 73-99 B.T. style 24T driven gear (OEM 26345-73 / MCS 531209 S&S). Color coding sequence is identical to stock H-D coding. When in doubt use a gear from the middle to the small side of the range. A combination of smaller gears should provide adequate gear clearance under most circumstances. Both excessive and zero gear lash combinations cause engine noise, but no gear lash causes binding and premature wear. Sizes are as follows: 915687 Orange (biggest). 909055 Black. 909060 Red. 909065 Blue (average). 909070 Green (average).
